Asus displays a laptop with a “real” 3D screen at CES 2023 | dog

I visited the Asus booth at CES 2023 in Las Vegas and checked the novelty up close. The experience was a lot of fun, with a more fun 3D effect than many movie theaters out there. The demo was done on the new ProArt Studio Book 16, which has a screen OLED 3.2K resolution with refresh rate 120 Hz.

The ProArt Studiobook 16 3D OLED, the laptop’s full name, is aimed at professional use. According to Asus, it is the first mobile 3D workstation for creators. Another ProArt Studiobook ran a more complex application, effectively demonstrating the technology’s possible uses. The notebook was connected to a zSpace sensor and stylus, which allowed interaction with the content displayed on the screen. The pen display is a kind of laser, which is a common thing in pads augmented reality. It was possible to select pieces of the chessboard and move them freely.

Other demonstrations included holding a butterfly, or visualizing the inside of a human heart, examples that would often be associated with future literature. It would have taken something and brought it very close to my face, allowing for a more detailed view.

The notebook’s technical specifications also attract attention.
