Armchair in Bruno Galeasso’s mansion for sale for R$30,000 | TV & Celebrities

With good taste, Giovanna Ewbank and Bruno Galeaso understand that. The couple’s mansion, which features landscapes designed by the famous Burle Marx and elegant and exclusive furniture, is on sale for 25 million Brazilian reais.

The luxury is also accompanied by the interior decoration of the house with carefully selected pieces to add more elegance to the space. A beautiful caramel-colored leather armchair, which forms the main family room, is for sale for 30,000 Brazilian reals on second-hand websites. This object is called the Mole Armchair and there are two pieces of the same model.

The chair is not just an object and carries a very unique and fascinating story. It was made by the Brazilian designer Sergio Rodrigues, also known abroad as the creator of authentic Brazilian furniture. In 1974, the Mole armchair, like the one in the Gagliasso Ewbank family home, became part of the collection of the Museum of Modern Art in New York (MoMA).

Made with a rosewood frame and genuine leather cushions, this piece won its first international award in 1961, at the Canto International Furniture Competition, in Italy. It even won an exhibition at the Espasso Gallery in New York called “The Mole Chair: 60 Years.”
