Are you a student and love science? Enjoy your vacation at Clubes de Ciencia Brasil

Students who enjoy science will have the opportunity to deepen their knowledge over the holidays. Sixth edition of Brazilian Science Clubs (CdeC BR)a program to encourage scientific interest, will offer a series of workshops exploring the topic over five days.

The event will take place in January 2024 and will be hosted at UFMG, UFPE and PUCPR. Registration is closed until December 17th. Access here.

what do you want to know?

• CdeC Br will hold career guidance, interactive workshops, lectures and talks on science for five days.
• High school and university students, up to the age of 24, can enroll in their first classes.
• During the programme, young people will also develop a group project.
• The works will be showcased on the last day of the event and prizes will be awarded to those who stand out the most.
• There are 350 places and 15 clubs from different fields of science.
• The activities will be led by researchers.

Selection of registrants

• Interested students have until December 17 to register for free.
• Applicants will go through a virtual selection process with questions asked about the candidates’ background, interests and aspirations.
• Priority for places is for public school students, with incentives for students who are transgender, Black, brown, Indigenous, low-income, and disabled.

Themed dates and clubs

At UFMG (University Federal of Minas Gerais), the program is scheduled to take place from January 15 to 19. The event will be hosted by the UFPE (Federal University of Pernambuco) from the 22nd to the 26th of the same month and the PUCPR (Pontifical Catholic University of Parana) from the 29th of January to the 2nd of February.
