Three Brazilians are among the presenters of the 49th edition of the International Emmy Award, an award that recognizes television programs and professionals. Spouses Angelica and Luciano Hack, as well as journalist Philip Santana, Globo’s US correspondent, will join the party’s host team.
The event takes place on Monday, 22, in New York, and features a screening team made up of American, British and Canadian actors, the award organization announced Saturday, 20, on Instagram.
Five Brazilian productions are vying for an award, four of which are from Globo: the TV series Amor de Mãe, the Diário de um Confinado series, the Globoplay All Women in the World short series, and the documentary Cercados.
Finally, yesterday’s Emicida: Amarelo – É Tudo Pra, produced by Netflix, competes for the Best Art Programming category. Click here to check the list of finalists.
