Coach Carlo Ancelotti once again denied any agreement with the Brazilian team. In a press conference today, Saturday, on the eve of the duel real madrid Against Cádiz in the Spanish championship, the Italian coach simply said that he was flattered by the attention.
– I feel proud that a team, one of the biggest teams in the world, like the Brazilian national team, is talking about me. This makes me proud, but nothing more. Everything is very clear: I have a contract until June 30 (with Real Madrid) and until that date I will not answer about my future – Ancelotti said.
As I said, the coach has a contract with Real Madrid until June 2024, and according to Ednaldo Rodriguez, representative of the Brazilian Federation, the coach agreed to lead the Brazilian team after the end of his contract with the Spanish club. Legally, he cannot sign any contract until January (six months before the end of his contract with Real Madrid). But the entity realizes that it already has guarantees for the business.
Although he did not clarify whether he would leave Real Madrid or not, Ancelotti talked about a name that he considered his potential successor at the club: Xabi Alonso, the former Real Madrid player and current coach of Leverkusen (leader of the German championship).
– Xabi Alonso? There is no doubt that he could be Real Madrid’s coach in the future. He can do the job, and he has all the qualities to be a good manager. I like the way he coaches his team. He is one of the coaches I like the most – pointed out Carlito, who has “outperformed” the clubs’ tight calendar due to FIFA data (and the subsequent injuries that occur during this period).
The solution is very simple: reduce the number of matches. But La Liga, UEFA and FIFA are doing the opposite.
