Those wishing to submit their proposals for holding scientific exhibitions within the country have until next Monday, November 1st, to submit projects via e-Doc. Organized in two lines of funding, Public Notice No. 08/2021, the Government of Sergipe, through the Secretary of State for Education, Sports and Culture (Seduc) and the Foundation for the Support of Science and Technological Innovation (Fapitec), will support the holding of science fairs, such as school science fairs, aimed at promoting Training at pre-scientific level, with the aim of the academic development of students in the public network; and the State Science Fair, with the aim of encouraging the production of experiments and stimulating the development of creativity and creative ability, enriching students in awakening vocations, as well as encouraging the use of research in public schools in the Sergipe region.

Grants and scholarships will be awarded for a total amount of R$ 947,200.00. Of this amount, R$860,000 is allocated for contracting 100 School Science Fair projects, more than 300 entry-level science start-up grants (IC Jr/Seduc), R$87,200.00 for contracting a State Science Fair project, plus a grant Industrial Technology Development (DTI) and another 20 IC Jr/Seduc Scholarships.

For school science fairs, up to 100 projects will be contracted. Each approved project will be awarded as follows: a grant in the amount of R$5,000 for the Feira Escolar Program; Three Scientific Junior Scholarships (IC Jr/Seduc), in the amount of R$100 per month, for a period of up to 12 months. Regarding the State Science Fair, only one project will be contracted, which will be awarded R$50,000 as assistance to the State Science Fair; Industrial Technology Development Grant (DTI/Seduc) in the amount of R$1,100 per month, for up to 12 months; 20 Junior Science Scholarships (IC Jr/Seduc) in the amount of R$100 per month, for a period of up to 12 months. The project coordinator must open an account in the State Bank of Sergipe (Banese), exclusively for this purpose.

Project submission

The project is presented via an e-Doc, which can be accessed through: www.edocsergipe.se.gov.br/protocolo-externo. The participant must submit documents evidencing official association with the institution, and approval of the proposal is subject to submission and acceptance of the previous proof after analysis. The fulfillment of the eligibility criteria is mandatory and necessary for the examination, formulation, analysis and judgment of the proposal. Absence or insufficiency of information about any of them may result in disqualification.

To participate in the selection related to the school science fair, the supporter must have at least 10 scientific works carried out, preferably in the schools of the State Public Education Network, within the same municipality. It must also participate, compulsorily, in the activities of the National Science and Technology Week for the current year; You must promote the exhibition to register the works with the municipal domain.

For the state science fair, the participant must collect at least 40 scientific works that have been carried out in the schools of the State Public Education Network of Sergipe State; Covering at least 10 municipalities; Mandatory participation in the activities of the National Science and Technology Week for the current year as well as the promotion of the fair for statewide business registration.
