Alvaro Pacheco is the new coach of Vasco da Gama “Vasco da Gama”.

Vasco da Gama agreed to sign coach Alvaro Pacheco, 52 years old. The Portuguese arrives at Gigante da Collina with a contract until the end of the season and the possibility of renewing it for another season.

In addition to the coach, four professionals also arrive: assistants Pedro Valdemar and José Teixeira, physical coach Leandro Méndez, and physiologist/high performance Ricardo Ferreira.

Alvaro Pacheco and his technical committee arrived in Rio de Janeiro on Sunday evening (19). The new professionals spent their first day of work on Monday (20th) morning, at CT Moacyr Barbosa, where they got to know the facilities and actors and follow the activities.

The professional was born in Lixa-Bor, and began his career in 2009 as a coach for the youth teams of Penafiel until he reached the professional team as a technical assistant. In this role, he played for the country’s traditional teams such as Moreirense and Boavista, until he took over as coach of Fafi. He also passed through Vizela and Estoril until he arrived at Vitoria, where he had a fantastic season, finishing in fifth place in the Portuguese league with 60 points. Alvaro holds a UEFA A license.
