Alexander Matos: “Vasco positively surprised me with a lot of things”
Accompanied by Lucio, he visited the training center facilities to learn about the center’s structure Vasco. Matos met with the staff and continued to discover what his work at the club would be like. He said he was positively surprised by what he saw.
– With a lot of humility, and a lot of work, with others. The willing people I have met and meet here. I think Vasco positively surprised me in many ways. In your idea of planning, with your ideas of improving structure, the same structure that you have today has given me joy in realizing that there is too much that we understand to be correct for things to go well. “It is a huge challenge as big as Vasco, but I face it with great pride and honour,” the director told VascoTV.
It was announced on Monday that Matos had terminated his contract with Atletico PR and arrived in Rio on Tuesday morning. The 47-year-old manager also has experience with clubs such as Cruzeiro, Palmeiras and Atletico MG.
