Since last week, Brazilians have gained a direct route to French Guiana, with the option to connect to other countries in the so-called French Caribbean and even Paris. flight between Bethlehem (PA) and Cayenne, operated by Air France, once a week.
This turns out to be a good option for those who live in the northern region and want to fly to the French capital, as Air France only has direct flights from Brazil to Paris from São Paulo (14 weekly flights), power (3 weekly flights) and Rio de Janeiro (7 weekly flights).
Flights from Belém to Caen take place once a week, on Saturdays, at 9:10 am. In French Guiana, an overseas territory belonging to France, travelers have the option of going to Fort-de-France (Martinique) or Pointe-à-Pitre (Guadeloupe), as well as connecting Paris to Orly.
The return trip from Cayenne to Belém takes place on Fridays, at 3:40 pm local time. Flight tickets can now be found on the Air France sales channels.
The new flights are operated on an Airbus A320, with a capacity of up to 170 passengers – 8 in Business Class and 162 in Economy Class. On the route’s inaugural flight, the plane flew with 154 passengers on board.
Before the pandemic, Azul already had flights to Caiena from Fortaleza, but they were cancelled. Now, Air France is celebrating its new and exclusive line.
