A wedding in England goes from joy to public bashing in minutes

Happy moments at the wedding gave way to generalized beatings in minutes, after a group provoked other guests during the newlyweds’ reception.

The incident took place in the Regent’s Hall, Bolton (England), on Thursday evening (24th), and began when a number of men approached the guests who were sitting and having dinner.

The video, which was spread on social media, shows the moment a man approaches a seated guest, turns his back, and slaps his hat hard.

This is the impetus to start trading punches – the man even uses a pedestal to attack the man who, apparently, initiated the confusion. Watch below:

A white cloth separating the men’s and women’s sections was torn, fighting spilled over on the women’s side, and tables and chairs were smashed.

The newlyweds watch the fight without being able to do anything, but grieve to see what should be one of the most special days of their lives turn into a huge mess.

In the midst of the commotion, an old man shows all his wisdom and remains seated, hesitant to move.

Local police said they had responded to the incident and that “officers were able to break up the fight and bring the situation under control,” according to the Lancashire Telegraph website. A man was arrested on suspicion of assaulting a police officer.
