A shooting in the New York subway leaves one dead and several injured

A shooting at a subway station in the Bronx, New York, yesterday ended with one person dead and others injured. According to official information, six people were shot at around 4:30 pm on Tuesday (12) while waiting for the train at Mount Eden station.

When the train arrived at the station, the doors opened and at least one person displayed a firearm and fired shots, authorities said. Some of the gunshot victims are believed to be part of the initial conflict, although it is not yet clear which of them were involved.

Police are also investigating whether the 34-year-old victim was involved in the dispute or just an innocent bystander.

Police are searching for at least one suspect in connection with the incident.
