The Pakistani has been identified as Shahzada Dawood. His son is called Solomon. Their ages were not given.
“We greatly appreciate the concern shown by our colleagues and friends and we ask everyone to pray for their safety,” the family statement read.
Dawood is vice president of one of Pakistan’s largest conglomerates, Engro, which has investments in fertilizers, automobile manufacturing, energy and technology. According to the businessman’s family, he and his son planned the trip to visit the remains of the Titanic.

The submarine carrying tourists to see the Titanic disappears in the Atlantic Ocean
According to the American authorities, there were five passengers on board the submarine. The media published the names of two more crew members. are they:
- Hamish HardingThe billionaire is the chairman of the board of directors of Action Aviation. He posted on a social network that he would be on the submarine. One of his stepsons also confirmed that he was missing.
- Paul Henry Nargolet, the former commander of the French Navy, who is considered the greatest expert on the sinking of the Titanic. This information was revealed by the newspaper “The Guardian”.
The disappeared tourist submarine belongs to the OceanGate Company, which is conducting expeditions to the wreck of the ship that sank in 1912. The remains of the ship are about 600 kilometers off the coast of Canada.
The Coast Guard in the United States and Canada conduct search and rescue operations. The Canadians stated that they had sent military aircraft and a ship to help.
The trip takes eight days. To descend to the wreck site, which is located at a depth of 3800 meters in the Atlantic Ocean, the submarine takes about 2.5 hours.
