UPA (Unicamp de Portas Abertas) 2021 starts on Tuesday (20) and runs through Thursday (23) with interviews broadcast live on Unicamp TV YouTube, always at 10am.
This year, the program will have panel discussions that will discuss topics such as scientific production and new technologies caused by the coronavirus pandemic, encouraging innovation and entrepreneurship at the undergraduate level, as well as UNICamp’s concerns about sustainability and advocating for human rights. Interested parties can participate by sending their questions and comments via chat.
UPA is a Unicamp program that aims to introduce high school students and those taking entrance examinations to laboratories, libraries, and physical spaces of the campus, as well as to the various university work interfaces and projects developed by professors and students.
Registration for UPA is now open and can be done by Program website. By accessing the page, interested parties can see the activities according to the undergraduate courses or divided by colleges and institutes. Students can register for all the activities they are interested in by filling out a simple form available on the page. After this stage, students will receive by e-mail the submission links for the activities they have registered for.

Although heading to register, links to follow all activities will be available on the UPA website to the entire public. However, the UPA is asking those interested to register so that it will be possible to learn more about the profile of Brazilian students interested in Unicamp and improve what the university has to offer.

- July 21 – The first session was held with the topic “Science and Technology in the Epidemic”. In it, some members of the Unicamp task force against COVID-19 will share some of their experiences in developing important anti-virus research that has been conducted at the university since the beginning of the pandemic.
- July 22 The conversation is about entrepreneurship and innovation at the university. Organized by Unicamp’s Innovation Agency (Inova), the panel will present the entrepreneurship initiatives that Unicamp undergraduates can participate in from the start of the course, as well as discuss the benefits of including innovation promotion throughout the course of academic life.
- July 23 The topic of discussion will be sustainability and human rights. The chat will feature projects that make Unicamp a more sustainable university, such as researching greater energy efficiency, developing new technologies and encouraging research on this topic. Measures to promote a culture of human rights defense at the university and in society will also be discussed.
Other activities
Unicamp colleges and institutes organize specific activities in the more than 50 undergraduate courses offered by the university. It will take place during the four days of the UPA, from 2 pm to 5:30 pm, and also by broadcast via the Tutorial Units channels on YouTube.
Another highlight of UPA is the activities outlined in the Unicamp entrance examination each day of the event. There will be live and interactive sessions on the different modalities of admission to Unicamp, the format of the exams and policies for student integration and continuity.
