12-year-old footballer tells a story in a book – Prisma

12-year-old Natalia Pereira wears her No. 10 shirt and a lot of responsibility. When she was just nine years old, Nat, as she is known, passed through a contested sieve to train in the youth categories at the Avaí Futebol Clube, one of the biggest teams in the country. And besides, she trained for a long time among the boys. Since then, it has been treated as one of the greatest gems in women’s football in Brazil and is already under the auspices of a major supplier of sports equipment.

Nat’s story got so much attention that she ended up in Living the Trust Code! Bestselling authors include Katie Kay, Claire Shipman, and Jill Ellen Riley. The book collects 30 stories about real girls who chase their passion. The purpose of the post is to showcase inspiring stories of girls who have overcome great challenges. To participate in the production of the book, Nat was interviewed by a Brazilian journalist. The player believes that the story can be an inspiration for other girls like her who want to become football players. “It doesn’t matter if it’s football or any other dream. You have to fight for what you believe in, and not for what others say is possible or not,” says the girl.

The book was released only in the United States. But you can find the English version at this link:
