Alep agrees to project creating SUS queue for consultations, exams and surgeries in Paraná | Parana

State lawmakers have approved a bill creating a list of people awaiting consultations – broken down by specialty – check-ups and surgeries by the Unified Health System (SUS) in Paraná.

The proposal was approved in the first round on Monday (5), in the session of the Legislative Assembly in Parana (Aleppo).

Within the framework of the project, the list should be published on the Internet by public health institutions as well as by partner institutions providing services through SUS.

If the proposal becomes law, the disclosure of the list must be updated weekly on the website of the State Department of Health (Sesa). The list will need to respect patient privacy, and publish only the initials of the name and National Health Card number.

The publication should also contain the date the procedure was requested, the position the patient occupies on the list, and the estimated time of care required.

The project is co-authored by Representatives Luciana Ravgnine (Labour) and Michelle Caputo (PSDB).

“We get many complaints from people who are waiting too long to be called for an appointment, for a test, or even for surgery,” Luciana says. “If this transparency was important before, it is now even more important in these times of the pandemic,” Caputo explains.

Fine for skipping vaccine queue

At Monday’s session, deputies approved the final wording of A project that provides for fines and other penalties for those who skip the waiting list Vaccination against Covid-10 in Parana.

Now, the bill would go to the governor’s penalty or veto. By July values, the fine can range from R$ 5.7 thousand to R$ 57.2 thousand.
