The Director of the Brazilian Institute of Information in Science and Technology (Ibict), Tiago Braga, received Bárbara Juhas, Coordinator of the Center of Competence in Urban Sustainability (CESU) in Teresina (PI), on a technical visit. The meeting aimed to present the services provided by the institute and explore the possibilities of partnership between Ibict and CESU.
During the visit, the Director of Ibict, accompanied by the General Coordinator of IT and IT, Hugo Valladares, and the General Coordinator of Scientific Information Technology (CGIT), Washington II, presented the main services provided by the Institute for the benefit of society.
Among the highlights is Canal Ciência, a scientific publishing service from Ibict, with resources such as the Nice platform, a generative AI tool that facilitates the exchange of ideas with Brazilian researchers and scientists, as well as free workshops that promote the development of diverse fields. skills.
During the visit, other services provided by Ibict were also presented, including:
- BrCris: aggregation platform that allows you to retrieve, authenticate and visualize data and information about the different actors involved in scientific research in Brazil.
- Pinakes: A research project aimed at restructuring the traditional bibliographic services coordinated by the Institute, such as the National Collegiate Catalog of Periodical Publications (CCN), Bibliographic Data and the Bibliographic Switch (Comut) programme.
- OASIS.br: is an Ibict initiative that integrates scientific production and research data available in open access. The portal collects publications from scientific journals, digital repositories of articles and research data, in addition to digital libraries of scientific dissertations and dissertations.
- Hypatia: a digital preservation model for implementing reliable digital archival repositories.
- Lavosier: A system that evaluates sustainable products and promotes interoperability between different Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) systems and databases.
- SBRT: An information service developed to meet the technological needs of small and micro businesses, as well as entrepreneurs across the country. Its main objectives are to apply knowledge generated in research institutions to improve processes that increase the competitiveness of small enterprises, encourage the diffusion of technological knowledge and facilitate technology transfer, especially for micro and small enterprises and the private sector.
- Visibility: An open system of observatories that allows interactive visualization of information and provision of data in an accessible way.
The CESU coordinator was accompanied by the Supervisor of the Government of Piaui in Brasilia, Eric Eliseo, the Director of the School of the Government of Piaui, Carlos Alberto, and the Director of Innovation of the Secretariat of the Administration of Piaui (SEAD-PI), Hildaño. Paros.
