Cruzeiro defeats Lanus with Cassio’s miracles and goes to the final of sulla

Cruzeiro awaits Corinthians or Racing in the South American final. The two teams will meet next Thursday (31), in Argentina, in the return match. The Brazilian and Argentinian teams tied 2-2 in the first match held in Sao Paulo.

Cruzeiro is the 11th Brazilian team to reach the South American final. Sao Paulo, Flamengo, Atletico, Fluminense, Internacional, Bragantino, Goias, Chapecoense, Ponte Preta and Fortaleza also achieved this achievement.

The final will be played in one match. The decisive match will be held at La Nueva Ola Stadium in Asuncion, Paraguay, on November 23.

Cruzeiro returns to the field next Wednesday (6). The Minas Gerais team will host Flamengo, at 9 pm (Brasilia time), in a match held within the 32nd round of the Brazilian League.

How was the match?

Lanus controlled most of the first half, but three factors hindered him: Cassio, the crossbar and offside.. The home side were more dangerous during the first 40 minutes of the match, but Marcelino Moreno, their main player, scored a wonderful goal that was ruled out for offside and was miraculously stopped by Cassio (and then the crossbar). Poggio was also a prominent name and, like his teammates, saw the Cruzeiro goalkeeper make another save.
