Milei welcomes former British Prime Minister Boris Johnson to Buenos Aires

The President of Argentina, Javier Millay, welcomed former British Prime Minister Boris Johnson (2019-2022) this Monday (14) at the government headquarters in Buenos Aires, where they held a private meeting, pictures published by Casa Rosada.

According to local press, the former leader of the British Conservative Party is touring Latin America to promote his book “Unleashed,” which was published in the United Kingdom this month.

Johnson, 60, plans to travel to Santiago, Chile on Thursday to attend a seminar, according to the website of Picton, an investment advisory firm.

There, he will be interviewed by former UK Ambassador to Chile David Gallagher and lawyer Gerardo Varela as part of a series of presentations on his latest autobiography.

In his memoirs, he talks about his experience in Conservative politics, particularly his time in Downing Street, marked by the UK’s exit from the bloc and negotiations with the European Union (EU) over the Covid-19 pandemic.

Johnson fell out of favor with his colleagues in 2022 following several scandals, particularly at his parties at the Prime Minister’s official residence during the pandemic.
