With interactive exhibitions, workshops, games and laboratory visits, the National Amazonian Research Institute (Inpa/MCTI) opens the doors of the institution from Monday (14) until October 20, for the 21st edition of the National Science and Technology Week (SNCT).

Inpa holds special programs during National Science and Technology Week.

The theme of this year’s event is “Brazil’s Biomes: Diversity, Knowledge and Social Technology”, which will be explored in more than 50 activities that are free and open to the public, such as the “World of Insects” exhibition. According to exhibitor, Alexandre Somavilla, the idea is to provide visitors with a deeper knowledge about Amazonian insects and their importance to the ecosystem.

Birds, fish, amphibians and reptiles will also be present at Inpa and partner exhibitions. The National Science and Technology Week is one of the largest science dissemination events in Brazil, and every year Inpa promotes a special program to arouse the curiosity and interest of the population.

The National Amazon Research Institute is located on Bem-Te-VI Street, Petrópolis neighborhood. Access to the event will be through the Inpa II entrance, from 9am to 11am and from 2pm to 4pm in the afternoon.
