The plane caught fire during an emergency landing in Las Vegas (USA).

Videos have gone viral on social media showing a Frontier Airlines flight bursting into flames during an emergency landing at the Harry Reid International Airport in Las Vegas, USA. After the scare, staff and passengers got out safely and there were no injuries.


“Frontier Flight 1326 had a difficult landing,” an airport spokesperson confirmed to CBS News, noting that firefighters responded immediately upon landing and there were no injuries.




A Border Patrol spokesperson told CBS that the pilots found smoke in the cabin and declared an emergency.


“The aircraft landed safely and all passengers and crew were evacuated via the stairs. No injuries were reported and passengers were taken to the terminal by bus”, he stressed, adding that the cause of the incident was under investigation.


In a video circulating on social media, smoke and flames can be seen on the underside of the plane, the Airbus 321 and the immediate action of emergency services. Shortly after landing, a fire department truck can be seen extinguishing the fire.


According to the US press, Frontier flight 1326 had 190 people on board, including passengers and crew.


The flight left San Diego, California for Las Vegas, Nevada on Saturday (5). NBC News reported this Sunday, 6 that Harry Reid International Airport was the final destination of the plane, which made an emergency landing. And according to the US network, the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) is also investigating the cause of the incident.
