The US is asking citizens to leave Lebanon when commercial flights are available

The US State Department asked this Saturday (21) that its citizens should leave Lebanon when there are commercial flights. Amid the worsening conflict between Hezbollah and Israel.


“Due to the unpredictability of conflicts and recent outbreaks across Lebanon, including Beirut, the US Embassy urges US citizens to leave the country when they have business options,” the State Department requested.


“At the moment, commercial flights are available, but with limited capacity. If the security situation worsens, commercial options may become unavailable,” the company warned.




The US advised against travel to Lebanon in July after an attack south of Beirut killed one person Hezbollah commander. Yesterday, Israel struck the area again, and claimed to have killed the head of the elite force and other commanders.


The State Department reiterated today that Americans must leave immediately South of Lebanon and areas bordering Syria and near refugee camps.
