Before his dismissal, Globo wanted to capitalize on the director’s publicity.

After being informed that he would be leaving his position as genre director, Boninho received – in addition to the proposal to direct it artistically – invitations to create new paintings for the entire program.Including BBB, and appearing more in front of the cameras.

Good at competition?

According to sources in this column, Boninho did not like any of the offers made, and felt that Globo wanted to “hold him back.” To prevent him from becoming a competing director on another platform. With this, he decided not to fight for renewal anymore and before the end of the partnership.

In fact, according to sources, Boninho does not rule out negotiating with other platforms to do the same thing he did at Globo. There is no clause in the director’s contract requiring him to spend some time not working on the same role.
