The benefit will only be issued on specific occasions such as: unfair dismissal, retirement, treatment for a serious illness, or buying your own home. However, workers should be aware of the FGTS withdrawal forms currently available.
In the above alternatives, the worker has the right to withdraw all the amounts deposited in the account with Caixa Econômica. However, it should be noted that the right to benefit is not the same as the right to immediate withdrawal.
This rule is observed in the event of dismissal of the worker for a legitimate reason, which is a condition that prevents the withdrawal of the benefit, as well as a fine of 40% of the deposited amount.
