Introducing a new generation of Toyota Land Cruiser 2022 – Prism

Today (10) Toyota launched, at an online event, the eleventh generation of the Land Cruiser. The model received a new look, platform and engine. The SUV is now considered one of the brand’s newest cars. There is no chance of the models landing in Brazil and destined for markets in Asia and the United States. Remember that the novelty is the longest-lived product of the Japanese brand in production. It was released in 1951, before the Corolla itself which was released 15 years later).

In the basic versions, Toyota Land Cruiser was equipped with many chrome elements, such as the front grille, mirrors and door handles. On the other hand, the GR Adventure Edition features an exclusive grille, unpainted elements and a specially designed wheel. The style even gives clues to the brand’s future crossovers with straight lines.

As standard, the SUV is equipped with Adaptive Variable Suspension (AVS), Electronically Controlled Kinetic Dynamic Suspension Stabilization (E-KDSS), Adaptive Cruise Control, Lane Keeping Assist, Adaptive High Beam, Head-Up Display, Air Ionizer, 12.3- An entertainment system with an inch screen and a fingerprint authentication device.

Under the hood, there are three engine options. The first has a new 3.5 V6 twin-turbo petrol engine with 415 hp and a torque of 66.3 kgf/m. The transmission is automatic with 10 gears.

The second engine option is a 3.3 V6 turbodiesel with 310 hp and a torque of 71.4 kgf / m.

The SUV makes its debut with the new TNGA-F platform, which was developed specifically for chassis-based vehicles. Models such as the Hilux pickup, which is marketed in Brazil, will also use this platform. The platform is modern, adaptable and can be used for hybrid models.

Sales will begin in the second half of the year in Russia, in the markets of Asia and the Middle East. It will likely be launched in the US as well, but Brazil will not have that option according to the trend of recent generations of Land Cruisers.
