A worrying incident occurred on Friday (23) at El Dorado International Airport in Bogota, where an American passenger was expelled from Colombia after his disruptive behavior that led to tension between passengers, crew and security personnel.
According to Colombian pressThe man arrived late for his LATAM Airlines flight to Cartagena and jumped over security barriers while trying to board the plane. In footage from the airport, the passenger can be seen walking towards the plane, which is already locked, shouting at the door and kicking it.
As Daniel Gallo, president of the Colombian Aviation Workers Union, reported, the passenger initially attacked ground staff after being told that the flight was already closed and that he had arrived late.

Frustrated, he headed to the boarding gate, and when he was unable to enter the plane, he decided to violate security, knocking on the main door and windows of the plane, in addition to tampering with the buttons and equipment that connected the boarding tunnel to the plane.
Videos of the incident quickly spread on social media, showing the man, wearing a black shirt and holding what appeared to be a passport and ticket, repeatedly kicking the fuselage of the plane.
After his aggressive approach, the man was restrained by airline staff, as well as police and security. He subsequently assaulted an airport employee during the confrontation. He was eventually arrested and will face charges in Colombia for affecting air safety.
