the Secretariat of Strategic Policies and Programmes (SEPPE)from Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation (MCTI) announced on Wednesday (14) that it will have a new management. The person taking over the task is a physics professor and researcher in Federal University of Fluminense (UFF), Andrea Brito Latji.

SEPPE was led by the interim Secretary, Osvaldo Moraes, who resumed his position as Director of the Department of Climate and Sustainability (DECLS/SEPPE/MCTI).

He graduated with a PhD in Physics from Federal University of Fluminense (UFF)Where she also works as a teacher. The researcher is also a full member of Brazilian Academy of Sciences (ABC), member of the Brazilian Physics Society (SBF) Council and participates in the Standing Committee on Gender Equality at UFF.
As a first-class researcher at the National Council for Scientific and Technological Development (CNPq), Andrea has already published around 150 scientific works in international journals.
His research focuses on the electronic properties of condensed matter, mainly working on the following topics: carbon nanomaterials, graphene, electronic transport, spintronics, strain electronics, and valley electronics.
