Since appearing in a Corinthians shirt in a leaked photo of a barbecue at his mansion in Rio de Janeiro, Gabigol has been closely watched by the red and black nation.

Such an act would mean losing the honor of wearing the mantle of No. 10 and losing the trust of those who still support him and hope for renewal.

Since then, Gabigol has been watching Flamengo’s matches from the bench, without being able to threaten Pedro’s starting spot, which continues to soar throughout the season.

Flamengo president Rodolfo Landim has always said when asked that Gabigol’s contract renewal depends only on him accepting the proposal Flamengo made to him, or playing football in accordance with what they demand in the renewal proposal.

But what angered the Black Reds the most was the fact that Gabigol lifted a Palmeiras shirt and swung it towards the Flamengo fans.

The behavior seemed provocative, disrespectful and a sign of his fate next season.

In recent matches, Gabigol has not been the protagonist on the pitch, but he has managed to stay in the spotlight due to his actions off the pitch.
