Carlos Miguel calls Luciano a “idiot” in web post; Sao Paulo striker responds

Goalkeeper Carlos Miguel was Corinthians’ standout in the 2-2 draw against Sao Paulo in the Brazilian Championship. The player was about to leave the black and white club of English football, and the striker provoked Luciano on social media and drove Viale into a state of madness (see below).

Posting a photo of the confrontation that featured Sao Paulo’s number 10 lying in the background, the Corinthians goalkeeper tagged his rival with a “vulgar” profile, created for provocations on social media. In the comments, black and white fans asked the athlete to stay in the team.

During El Clásico, there was a strange relationship between Carlos Miguel and Luciano and they were both punished with a yellow card. The goalkeeper’s annoyance occurred during the celebration of Morumbi’s second goal, which he celebrated in front of Gavis da Viel, the organized Corinthians fans.

It did not take long for Luciano to respond to the provocation. The striker also posted on Instagram a photo with the Copa do Brasil trophy, describing Carlos Miguel as a “promising goalkeeper”, in addition to recalling the three titles he has already won with São Paulo and his numbers at the Tricolor club.

The 25-year-old goalkeeper is expected to be announced this week as Nottingham Forest’s new signing. The English club has already announced that it will deposit Carlos Miguel’s fine, set at 4 million euros (about 23 million Brazilian reals).
