There was one game that stood out noticeably in May: Sea of Thieves, an Xbox title that also managed to capture the attention of PlayStation players. Sea of Thieves dominated the download charts, being the most downloaded game in the US/Canada and European regions. With its expansive pirate-themed world and compelling multiplayer experience, the game has proven to be a hit, reflecting its broad appeal across different platforms, and is now winning over players across the PlayStation ecosystem.
In addition to Sea of Thieves there are other titles worth mentioning:
- US/Canada: Madden NFL 24, MLB The Show 24, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III, and Stellar Blade were among the most downloaded games, indicating a strong preference for sports and action games in this region.
- Europe: F1 24 made a strong entry, earning a spot in the top 3 most downloaded games. Grand Theft Auto V, Helldivers 2 and NBA 2K24 also stood out, showing a mix of action and sports games.
