Non-fiction agency Indox will launch an expert series focusing on iteration projects titled Visions Du Reel ‘Mother Vera’ for the UK and Ireland

private: Non-fiction agency Indox, founded by former Dogwoof CEO Luke Brawley, has entered the Visions du Reel competition Mother Vera The image will be used to launch a new boutique service focused on representing progressive and factual media businesses in the UK and Ireland.

Brawley’s Indox provides international festival management for non-fiction projects. The new UK & Ireland branch will combine its efforts on specific “exciting documentary” projects in the UK and Ireland with the aim of preventing them from “falling under the radar of local audiences”. Brawley said the series will initially focus on local games.

“Similar to the situation overseas, domestic distribution of nonfiction presents its own challenges. Given changes in audiences since the pandemic and risk-averse practices on the part of distributors, sensational documentaries are at risk of falling off the radar of domestic audiences,” Brawley said.

“We will take on productions that cross format boundaries, such as our international roster, and as a UK-based organisation, we will focus on local productions. “We are delighted to offer this new service, which provides an alternative route focused on reaching British and Irish audiences across the country’s extensive festival circuit ”

The film is produced by Laura Shacham for She Makes Productions in the UK. The film revolves around the life of an unconventional young nun. The synopsis of the film is as follows: After living 20 years in the monastery, Vera faces a deep inner conflict. Now he must face his past and trust his instincts to achieve the freedom he wants.
