The new agreement aims to end the distortions of the state era and adapt the employment relationship to the new situation of a private company.

Eletrobras' outsourcing is criticized

The outsourcing of ACT's negotiations has dismayed CNE, which criticized the company's proposal after Tuesday's first round of negotiations with Aguiar.

Eletrobras proposed, among other changes, to reduce the salaries of those earning up to R $ 15,572.04 by about 12.5%.

Higher salaries will be discussed on a case-by-case basis, which, for the National Election Council, indicates the possibility of ethical harassment, as negotiations will be individual, without the union present.

“The instability of the health plan – with its supposed gains to beneficiaries – holiday bonuses according to the CLT, the withdrawal of the Christmas Pass and even proposals for anti-union practices, permeated the first round of negotiations,” the National Electoral Council said in a memo, informing employees that they were ready to stop. In protest against the changes.

According to a document distributed by Eletrobras to employees, the proposal is to cancel the thirteenth meal ticket, which employees received, and reduce salaries to avoid layoffs, among other changes. The company proposes to pay compensation to support the shift in salary values.

At the meeting, the maintenance of benefits such as daycare assistance, educational assistance and funeral assistance, among others that employees receive during the tenure of the state-owned company, was discussed.

Now privatize it

Eletrobras was privatized in June 2022 and has nine different agreements to be negotiated. The intention to appoint a negotiator, according to sources, is due to the complexity of preparing the first law after privatization.

The aim is to unify the working relationship between all companies in the group as much as possible, which cannot be done completely, and to harmonize working practices with the private sector.

Since 2016, when moves to sell the company began, Eletrobras has lost about 10,000 employees through voluntary separations or retirement programs. Currently, the company has about 14 thousand employees.

“The Eltrobras negotiations involve the representation of our professionals by more than 50 unions, at a table of approximately 40 people. As the negotiations progress, the company will detail all proposals,” the company said in the document.

The next meeting is scheduled for April 9 in Brasilia.
