The Paraná government will promote the Fifth State Conference on Science, Technology and Innovation on April 3-4 in Curitiba. The event, which will be held at the Federal Technological University of Paraná (UTFPR), will be in partnership with the Departments of Science, Technology and Higher Education (Sei) and Innovation, Modernization and Digital Transformation (Sei).
In addition to this event, the state will also host the regional edition of the conference, which will take place on April 25 and 26 and will involve the three states in the south of the country, with the participation of Santa Catarina and Rio Grande do Sul: all events are in line with the 5th National Conference on Science, Technology and Innovation whose theme is “Science, Technology “Innovating for a just, sustainable and advanced Brazil.”
Seti is the institution responsible for organizing the events in partnership with the Araucária Foundation and with the support of the Federal Technological University of Paraná (UTFPR). The state edition will have as its agenda the requirements of the state system of science, technology and higher education in Paraná, which includes public and private universities and research institutions located in the state.
At the Southern Regional Conference, topics related to higher education and research will be discussed by state representatives. The goal is to end the event with a document that can illustrate the professions, trends and needs to improve the production of science and knowledge in the three states of Paraná, Santa Catarina and Rio Grande do Sul.
The two events are part of the agenda of the Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation conference, which will have its national edition from June 4 to 6 in Brasilia. In this meeting, the proposals emerging from state and regional meetings will contribute to formulating the national strategy for the sector over the next ten years.
