The Galaxy A05s recently arrived in Brazil just a few weeks after Samsung started selling the A05. It is a turbocharged version that features a biometric reader and small improvements to ensure a high cost benefit. Is this generation's model as satisfying as it was before? Let's check it out.
The design has been updated and is closer to what we have on the brand's more expensive models, with a flat and simple look. It features a matte finish with a smooth texture on the back which makes the cell phone less slippery and reduces fingerprint build-up. The front has thinner bezels, but we still have the old teardrop notch.
The screen size has increased to 6.7 inches and the resolution has increased to Full HD+, ensuring a sharper image. Brightness is stronger on this generation, but it lacks color calibration due to the lack of adjustments in the settings. 90Hz is limited to that speed at all times and there is no way to choose another. The sound remains mono and does not impress in terms of sound quality.
The A05s is equipped with a Snapdragon 680 processor and has 6GB of RAM, ensuring a good multitasking experience when keeping multiple apps open in the background. In games, you can enjoy heavier games at medium quality.
The 5,000 mAh battery performed well in our testing with approximately 30 hours of moderate use. The disappointing part is the only 7W charger which takes 2 hours and 40 minutes to fully fill the battery.
The photography suite consists of a 50-megapixel camera and two 2-megapixel sensors for macro and blurring. It's basically the same as before and takes good photos and videos. The interface has evolved and captures more detail, although it still smooths out the skin.
Is the Galaxy A05s worth buying? He has everything to be the best starting player in the coming months. It is a highly efficient cell phone and interesting value for money. Below you'll find all the details in our full review:
