Alagoas – “The Integrated Access event, supported by science and technology, will be held in September in Maceió, with international participation”

In September this year, the 10th National Meeting on Ergonomics in the Built Environment (Eneac) and the Brazilian Symposium on Integrated Accessibility (SBAI) will be held in Maceió, Alagoas, events organized by the Federal University of Alagoas (Ufal) and the Federal Government. Alagoas Institute (Eval). What is new is that the two events, this time, will have the support of the State Secretariat for Science, Technology and Innovation (Secti), which represents an important partnership between the proposed institutions and the government body.

This cooperation between higher education institutions and Secti is extremely important, as it promotes encouragement, investment and generation of knowledge in various fields, as well as promoting actions, discussions and investigations in the areas of ergonomics and accessibility. One of the main objectives of the event is to provide the opportunity to present, analyze and review topics and concepts related to promoting social inclusion through various interactions with built environments and their users.

The event will be attended by students, professionals and speakers from different countries, such as Brazil, Portugal and Italy, which will enrich discussions and contributions to development and modernization at the local, regional and national levels. The topics to be covered relate to the quality of life of residents in built spaces, and show research results in the areas of ergonomics and accessibility in different environments.

Holding these events at the Jaragua Technological Pole Innovation Center (Cipt) represents a unique opportunity to foster interaction between national and international researchers, in an innovative, collaborative and welcoming space. Furthermore, it will be an opportunity for students and professionals involved in understanding the relationship between people, especially people with disabilities or physical limitations, and the built environment.

The importance of this event was recognized by the State Secretariat for Science, Technology and Innovation (Secti), which reinforced its commitment to supporting the initiative, highlighting the importance of the integration achieved by the Government of Alagoas with academia throughout its administration. Supporting research, science and knowledge is one of the priorities of the government, which remains open to actions that strengthen the state of Alagoas.
