Carnival El Salvador 2024 will open with Ivete Sangallo, Carlinhos Brown, Pianasystem and Eli Ayi at Praca Castro Alves | Carnival

Ivete Sangallo, Carlinhos Brown, Bayanasystem and Eli Aye will open the Salvador Carnival in 2024. The four attractions will be held at Praça Castro Alves, in the historic center of Salvador.

City Mayor Bruno Reis announced this news on Wednesday (20), and is part of a strategy to promote the more traditional circuit of Bahia celebrations, according to him.

“In 2023, we will inaugurate the carnival in Farol da Barra. In 2024, the idea is to have this grand opening in the historic center, and then inaugurate the biggest street party on the planet,” the director said.

Next year, the ceremony will be held at the beginning of February. The official period of celebrations is from the 8th (Thursday) to the 14th, when the celebrations end with the traditional Ash Wednesday in Arastau.

For those who love to party, the events have already begun in December this year. In addition to the religious festivals already held – Santa Bárbara, on the 4th of this month, and Nossa Senhora da Conceição da Praia, on the 8th -, from December 28 to January 1, the Ferrada Salvador Festival will be held, in the Daniela Mercury Arena, in the edge of Boca from Rio.

This year’s event program features performances by Anitta, Nattan, Wesley Safadão and Família Gil, among others.

In January, there will be other concerts, such as Lavagem do Bonfim, as well as summer rehearsals for artists.

At the end of the twenty-seventh and twenty-eighth months, another version of the El Salvador Summer Festival will be held. The edition will include an exclusive performance of Ivete Sangalo and CeeLo Green as international attractions and several on-stage meetings.

February begins with the Festa di Emania, on the second day, and soon after, pre-carnival events are planned, without interruption until the Momisca celebrations.
