Palmeiras and the Brazilian Football Confederation do not take Botafogo’s report submitted to the Court of Justice and Equality seriously. Textor is accused of cheating in favor of the Leila Pereira-Prisma team
He sent a report to the Supreme Court of Sport Justice (STJD) referring to “championship manipulation”. This is the only reason why Botafogo lost the title.
The basis for this accusation is the survey conducted by Good Game! Which used artificial intelligence to analyze the decisions of field referees and VAR.
According to the report, a series of errors occurred in favor of Palmeiras and against Botafogo.
Thesis on the limits of imagination.
As if there was incredible protection for President Leila Pereira’s team.
“Reliable external experts have prepared reports demonstrating their distrust, with 99% certainty, that match-fixing has occurred in other important matches. We hope that the STJD will evaluate these allegations and decide that an investigation is necessary.”
Textor statement to ESPN.
The study submitted to the STJD concluded that Botafogo should get 68 points, and Palmeiras only 50 points.
The reality shows that Palmeiras is the leader and two-time Brazilian champion, with 66 points, and Botafogo is in fifth place with 64 points.
It is difficult to explain the manipulation in the transition in which Botafogo, which was victorious 3-0, lost to Palmeiras 4-3.Maga Junior/F8 Agency/Estadão Contíodo – 1/11/2023
Textor has already told journalists that if the Court of Justice and Equality does not take Botafogo’s considerations into account, he will resort to the General Court to annul the Brazilian championship.
The leadership of the Brazilian Federation does not take seriously the accusations made by the American businessman, owner of the Botafogo club.
Palmeiras management didn’t do that either.
Both are taking the route of shifting the focus away from the club’s ineptitude in crucial moments of the Brazilian championship.
The situation makes everything more embarrassing for the history of Botafogo.
The focus on the failure of football management means the club has had five managers this season, and that will not be forgotten.
Another embarrassment from this giant club.
And the matter is in the hands of John Textor…

1. FeatureIt is impossible to talk about the Brazilian League without remembering that Botafogo achieved a historic achievement: the largest victory in an era of points-scoring, after the end of the first round. There were 13 points for then vice-captain Gremio

2. Historical lossThis advantage also brought to Glorioso another historical achievement, but not so positive: it was the first team to stop being champion of Brazil with such a difference in points. Botafogo no longer has a chance of winning the title, and to make matters worse they are not even in the group of four currently

3. Goodbye lightning The 2023 Brazilian Championship puts Cuca first on the list of coaches with the fastest passes in the competition – since the beginning of the straight points era. He spent just six days at Corinthians and overtook Mario Sergio, who spent nine days at Botafogo, in 2007.• Share this news via WhatsApp

4. Competitiveness It has been 14 years since fans have witnessed such a heated battle in the Brazilian League between the Group of Four on the eve of the final round. The difference between the top four is no more than four points: Palmeiras (69), Atletico MG (66), Flamengo (66) and Gremio (65). The last time something similar happened was in 2009, when the result was: Flamengo (64), Internacional (62), Palmeiras (62) and Sao Paulo (62).

5. Goliada Another milestone that the Brazilians have not seen for a long time is a repeat of the biggest defeat of the straight points era: 7 to 1. In the 28th round of the Brazilian League, Internacional repeated this result over Santos and ended an already bloody drought. 15 years: Last 7-1 was in 2008, in a match between Gremio and Figueirense

6. High average audience In the 22nd round of the Brazilian League, another record was broken: an average of 27,079 fans in the stadiums. This figure exceeds the figure recorded in 1983, when the estimate was 22,953 Brazilians per match. The average currently stands at around 27 thousand fans, a number that also exceeds the old record• Share this news via Telegram

7. Shortlist This Brazilian league is also part of a limited group: it is only the eighth, in 20 years, to determine the champion in the final round. Since the beginning of the points race era, the only editions to have competed for the Cup in the Round of 38 were in 2004, 2005, 2008, 2009, 2010, 2011 and 2020.
