A house exploded while police were trying to execute a search warrant in Virginia, the United States, on Monday night (4). Some security personnel were injured, but not seriously.
The case occurred in Arlington County, near Washington. Police said that, in the late afternoon, they received a report of gunfire in the area.
Agents obtained a warrant to search the suspect’s home. In the early evening, when the police were already in front of the house, new gunshots were heard.
At approximately 8:30 pm local time (10:30 pm Brasilia time), the two-storey residence exploded, causing a fire. Debris from the house was also thrown at police and nearby properties.

As of the publication of this report, the police had not yet been informed of what happened to the suspect who was inside the house. There is also no information about the presence of other people inside the property.
The cause of the explosion is being investigated.
