Patricia Bullrich will become the new Minister of Security of Argentina, as confirmed on Friday (first) by President-elect Javier Miley.
Certainly, it goes back to the ministry she held during the government of former President Mauricio Macri, between 2015 and 2019, which made her well known.
During the election campaign in Argentina, Patricia Bullrich became known as the “law and order candidate”, for championing ideas such as toughening penalties for minors who commit crimes and changing the age at which people are considered criminally responsible.
Bullrich criticized Miley throughout the campaign, calling his ideas “dangerous and bad.” But she said in an interview on Wednesday (22) that she wants to prevent “the danger of Kishnerism”, referring to Sergio Massa, an ally of former presidents Nestor and Cristina Kirchner.
After finishing third in the first round, she supported Miley in the second round of elections.
In the second round, Bullrich quickly formalized his support for Millie. She said at the time that she supported the “change” represented by the far-right Millie, with whom she had a violent clash in the presidential election campaign.
