Fans of Brazilian singer Madonna can prepare their pockets because the “Queen of Pop” may be about to announce her concerts in Brazil. The artist was performing on the “Celebration Tour,” which celebrates the 40th anniversary of her career, in Europe and is scheduled to end in April 2024, passing through the United States and Mexico as well.
According to journalist José Norberto Flesch, known for promoting advertisements for international shows in Brazil, she “prepares advertisements for shows in Brazil.” He also reported that “the latest details [estão] “More information coming soon,” he said on social media.
It is worth noting that the tour was postponed after the artist was hospitalized. She had to be taken to hospital on June 24 after she was diagnosed with a “severe bacterial infection.” The singer spent several days in the intensive care unit, according to her manager, Guy Oseary.
Madonna in Brazil
During Madonna’s 40-year career, she visited Brazil three times: 1993, 2008 and 2012. It has been eleven years since the artist performed on Brazilian soil.
In 1993, she came with “The Girlie Show” tour for shows in São Paulo and Rio de Janeiro. While in 2008, she returned to both cities with performances on the “Sticky & Sweet” tour. In 2012, the singer returned with the “MDNA” tour, adding Porto Alegre to the tour, in addition to the capitals São Paulo and Rio de Janeiro.
