That’s because Microsoft and Samsung have increasingly integrated features from the Office ecosystem, including online storage in OneDrive.

According to information received from the Canaltech portal, in 2019 the company decided to deactivate Samsung Cloud. At that time, Samsung announced the discontinuation of the service on its support page. According to the company, the files stored on it “will be deleted.”

It’s worth noting that at the time, apps like Gallery and My Files offered the option to sync with Samsung Cloud, but now offer integration with Microsoft’s equivalent service. Samsung Cloud servers were shut down on September 30, 2021.

Samsung Cloud is expected to end at the end of 2019, when media synchronization began on the Galaxy Note 10 using Microsoft’s service. The partnership between the two companies has been strengthened, with greater integration of Office suite services and even promotions including Xbox subscriptions.
