UFC 294: Johnny Walker takes an illegal knee and the fight ends in a strange, unsuccessful and controversial way

On the main card for UFC At 294, in Abu Dhabi, the fight between Johnnie Walker and Magomed Ankalaev ended in a strange and controversial way in the octagon.

In the first round, the Brazilian was subjected to an illegal blow to the head from the Russian, while he was not fully supported on the ground, which is prohibited by the rule.

Therefore, the fight was temporarily stopped and the presence of a doctor was necessary to assess whether the Brazilian was able to continue.

The doctor asked Walker what country he was in and he responded by asking about the combat tour. From this response, the doctor understood that he was not fit to fight again and the referee ended the fight as a no contest.

The Brazilian was angry and wanted to resume the fight at any cost, including attacking the Russian and having to be restrained by security.

Dana White entered the octagon and berated Walker. Shouts of “Let them fight!” The chorus echoed into the Etihad Arena.

In the end, the Brazilian left the arena amidst boos.
