Qatar Grand Prix: When and where to watch after Verstappen’s hat-trick | Formula 1

Luciano Porti and Rafael Lopez analyze the Qatar Grand Prix

Verstappen has won three titles in Formula One since 2021, when he won a selected battle against seven-time world champion Lewis Hamilton, and he also won it in 2022 after defeating Ferrari driver Charles Leclerc. To date, the class’s newest trio has claimed 13 victories, ten pole positions and 15 podium finishes.

The trio comes with five races to go before the end of the season. This equals the number achieved by Nigel Mansell in 1992, who won his only title five rounds before the end of the tournament. He even repeated Nelson Piquet’s feat by becoming the first Formula 1 champion to be crowned on a Saturday in the past 40 years – the Brazilian did so in 1981 and 1983 because the Las Vegas and South African Grands Prix, the scene of his achievements, were on a Saturday.
