US House Republicans are calling for tighter export controls on advanced chips

Lawmakers urged the Biden administration to modernize regulations and respond promptly to Huawei and SMIC. They encouraged the administration to block Chinese companies’ access to powerful artificial intelligence chips made available through cloud computing services.
