Five hospitals From Baixada Santista, on the coast of São Paulo, it will be included in the “New SUS Paulista Schedule”, by the Government of São Paulo. The initiative, led by the State Department of Health (SES), provides for an increase in referrals for procedures performed by hospitals affiliated with the Unified Health System (SUS), from January 2024.
The project provides for the creation of its own schedule that complements the values conveyed by the Ministry of Health, and pays charitable and municipal units and entities up to five times more for each action than the specified national schedule for the SUS.
in Baixada SantistaThe units that will benefit from the modification are: Hospital Santa Casa de Santos, Hospital Dr. Luiz Camargo de Fonseca y Silva, Hospital Santo Antonio, Hospital Santo Amaro and Instituto Visão do Bim.
measurement attempts Reduce waiting time For surgeries in the state by increasing the financial ceiling for hospitals, allowing for a greater volume of care. In all, the remuneration of about 5,000 hospital procedures has been readjusted through the schedule.
The resources used for the planned transfers will come from the state treasury. With this change, the state government hopes to correct the historical gap caused by not updating the SUS National Scale values.
According to the SES, the new pay model will benefit 354 hospitals Across the state, among Santas Casas, charitable and municipal entities. This equipment currently accounts for 50% of hospital care in the single health system in São Paulo. R$2.8 billion will be invested annually in the project.
Over the next few months, the SES technical team should meet with all health services to discuss service goals, allowing resources to be pushed through to the beginning of next year.
