Time to check out the almighty Xiaomi 13 Ultra. Will the most advanced model of the Chinese manufacturer be able to beat competitors from Samsung and Apple?
Xiaomi follows through on its partnership with lens manufacturer Leica and on the 13 Ultra we still have the camera-inspired design. The camera module is a large circle of raised glass on the back, which makes the 13 Ultra’s design less traditional with its leather-like rear.
The screen features a 6.73-inch Quad HD+ AMOLED panel with a 120Hz refresh rate, and the brightness level isn’t the best in its class, but it provides good visibility on sunny days. The powerful stereo sound ensures great sound quality even at maximum volume.
Performance is due to Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 with up to 16GB of RAM. The Xiaomi 13 Ultra was fast in our speed test and managed to keep all apps open in the background, though it’s not the fastest multitasker. It runs all games well and at maximum quality.
The 5,000mAh battery performed very well in our testing, and the fast recharge time, thanks to the 90W charger, ensures a full battery in just over half an hour. Its cameras take excellent pictures, which are the best we’ve seen on Xiaomi phones. The camcorder also makes decent footage with 8K recording and great stability and sound quality.
Is it worth buying Xiaomi 13 Ultra? It’s not the fastest phone among the best we’ve tested and it doesn’t have a best-in-class camera either, but it does offer an accurate range that will satisfy even those who aren’t fans of the brand.
