CD Projekt RED lists what’s new in Cyberpunk 2077 Update 2.0

Cyberpunk 2077 will receive a free, comprehensive update before the launch of the Phantom Liberty expansion, as promised by CD Projekt RED. This patch will bring many new features to the gameplay of the future RPG. To keep players informed of the changes, they ran a comparison between the update and the DLC in a social media post.

Update 2.0 (free)

• Innovative perks and skill tree.
• A new system of cyber software capabilities.
• Exciting chasing and fighting vehicles.
• Improvements to NPC combat.
• The renewed police system.
• Improvements to the user interface and experience.
• Changes to the item collection system and equipment crafting.
• New radio stations have been added including Growl FM radio station.

Phantom Liberty (paid)

• Dogtown area.
• New narrative line and new characters.
• New missions, bosses and more.
• Delivery missions with dynamic events.
• New system of effects and abilities.
• Added more than 100 new items including cars, cyberware and cosmetics.
• Car launchers.
• The maximum level will be increased to 60.

CDPR hasn’t confirmed a release date for Cyberpunk 2077 Update 2.0, but has made it clear that it will be available “days before” the arrival of the expansion, which is set to debut on September 26 exclusively for Cyberpunk 2077. ps5Xbox series and PC.
