The cost of benefits packages offered to employees has become one of the main concerns of companies, according to a survey of trends conducted by the consulting firm WTW and published on Wednesday (30) by the newspaper Folha de S.Paulo.
This phenomenon is due to the high prices of products, such as health plans, as the annual adjustment ratio deals directly with health plans. The calculation takes into account medical inflation and the average utilization, known as the loss ratio.
According to the WTW, the alternative adopted by many companies is to seek better contracts with suppliers, group services in the same package and increase employee cost sharing.
The data was taken from a survey conducted with representatives of 5,233 companies that employ 22.9 million people worldwide. In all, 326 companies were consulted in Brazil, with a total of about 900,000 employees.
In the 2021 edition of the same survey, which was conducted during the COVID-19 pandemic, companies showed a different view, focusing on issues such as inclusion, diversity, use of new technologies and flexible working arrangements.
