Release batches start on February 15th

The allowance now issued is for 2021. According to the Ministry of Labor and Employment, 22.9 million workers will benefit, of which 20.4 million are due to PIS and another 2.5 million to Pasep, for a total of about 22 billion rupees.

Allowance release payments begin February 15th and continue through July 17th. PIS is paid in Caixa, for those who have worked in private companies in 2021 and comply with the program rules. On the other hand, Pasep is issued by Banco do Brasil to employees of public companies, such as civil servants and employees of state-owned companies, as well as military personnel. The deadline for withdrawing the amount ends on December 28, 2023.

The allowance amounts to R$ 1,302 and varies depending on the number of months worked during the base year 2021. The benefit amount is calculated taking into account 1/12 of the minimum wage multiplied by the number of months worked. If the beneficiary worked throughout the reference year, he/she will receive the minimum wage. If you work two months in 2021, you will receive R$217, for example.

According to the Ministry of Labor and Employment, Law 7998/1990 specifies that upon payment, amounts will be rounded to the next unit immediately. Since 1/12 of the minimum wage is R$108.50, everyone who is entitled to this amount will receive R$109. The same thing happens with other broken cent amounts.
