Lewis Capaldi used his social media profile on Monday (05.06) to announce a career break until his scheduled presentation at the Glastonbury Festival, in the UK, at the end of June.
“This is a very difficult letter, and it pains me a lot to write, but I apologize for announcing that I will have to cancel all appointments scheduled between now and Glastonbury on June 24,” she began in a statement posted to Stories.
“The last few months have been mentally and physically exhausting, I haven’t been home since Christmas and at the moment I’m struggling to deal with everything at the same time. I need a moment to rest and recover, get back to my best self and be ready for Glastonbury and all the amazing performances that lie ahead, To continue doing what I love for a long time to come!” he wrote in part of a letter to fans.
Before concluding, he affirms that he “gets all the help and support I need from the wonderful people who are around me and I’m so grateful for them. I take that very much into the series and can’t wait to get back together again. Love, Lois,” he concludes.
Capaldi is open to discussing mental health and the effects of Tourette’s syndrome with his fans. Earlier this year, he released the documentary How I Feel Now, about the health difficulties he faced while preparing his latest album.
