Secitece hosts the first meeting of the MENP group

The first meeting of the Permanent Sectoral Negotiation Council (MENP) for 2023 took place last Tuesday afternoon, May 9, at the headquarters of the General Secretariat for Science, Technology and Higher Education.

The meeting was chaired by Secretary Sandra Montero, with the participation of Deans Hidelbrando Soares (Uece) and Isabelle Montalvern (UVA), Executive Secretary for Planning and Internal Management at Secitece Adeline Lobau and legal advisors Rafael Arruda Maya and Thiago Barbosa Brito.

In attendance were union bench representatives Raquel Dias (SindUece), Emerson Ferreira (SindUVA), Zulidi Queiroz (SindURCA), Mario Granja and Abrau Neto (SINSESC). Sambara Paola (ANDES) and Hélio Soares (Uece) accompanied as listeners.

According to the head of Secitece, most of the requests are already being sent or in the implementation phase. The Secretary also reported that the current processes have been accelerated. The schedule of upcoming meetings scheduled for the second Tuesday of every month was also approved.

“Since the beginning of our term, we have sought to maintain a close and transparent relationship with the deans, which is a very important achievement for the procedures that are carried out in a common and coordinated manner, facilitating the fulfillment of requests and the implementation of the proposed referrals,” Sandra Monteiro confirmed.
